Join us for a moderate evening walk on the oceanfront boardwalk under the Strawberry Moon! Why 'Strawberry Moon'? It's the traditional nickname for the June full moon, tied to the short season when wild strawberries ripen/are harvested—it's a seasonal name (not because the moon turns pink). Meetup: Starbucks (31 Ocean), Address: 241 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. Parking: There's free 2-hour parking right around the corner, facing Pacific Avenue. Date: Monday, June 29, 2026. Meet Time: 8:15 PM. Sky timing (VB): Full Moon 7:56 PM • Sunset 8:27 PM • Moonrise 8:41 PM. Distance/Pace: 4 miles at a moderate pace. Route: We'll start at Starbucks, head out to the boardwalk, and once we're out there we'll decide together which direction to go. Hot-weather note: Please bring water and wear light/breathable layers.
