Sunrise, Steps & Big Sam's Breakfast (6 Miles)

There's no better way to start a Sunday than with a breathtaking sunrise, cool ocean breezes, and great company! Join East Coast Hikers for an early morning 6-mile walk along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk as we watch the sun rise over the Atlantic before the summer heat arrives. • Date: Sunday, August 2, 2026 • Meet & Walk Starts: 5:00 AM • Meeting Location: Big Sam's Grill & Raw Bar, 300 Winston Salem Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 • Distance: 6 Miles (3 miles out and back) We'll enjoy the peaceful pre-dawn hours, watch the sunrise over the ocean, and take in the beautiful morning views as the city wakes up. • Breakfast After: After the walk, anyone who'd like to join us is welcome to grab breakfast at Big Sam's. • Parking: Free parking is available in the Big Sam's parking lot and on nearby streets. Please arrive a few minutes early so we're ready to start promptly at 5:00 AM. • Bring water, wear comfortable walking shoes, and dress for the weather. • Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome on the Boardwalk during the morning hours.
