Registration for July 23 — Mallard Point Living Shoreline Basalt Shell Bagging

REGISTRATION REQUIRED Registration deadline: July 19 Bending & Heavy Lifting Involved Join the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Hampton Roads Urban Restoration Team as we install a 718-foot living shoreline at the Mallard Point Association along the Hampton River. This project will create 3,312.75 square feet of oyster habitat, enhance or add 15,946 square feet of low- and high-marsh wetland habitat, and convert 15,774 square feet of turfgrass into a native vegetated buffer. Over two days, we will bag 400 Basalt Shell Bags for the Mallard Point Living Shoreline Project. Participants must be 18 years or older to volunteer.
