Live from the Music Room: Feign Kin

Feign Kin is a musical project by James Turner. Originally from Georgia, James spent just over a decade in Tennessee before moving to Norfolk at the tail end of 2020. After learning of his adoption later in life, he began to ask himself the question "What if we all just pretended we were family?" Now, five years in, the project continues to sprout new branches with friends joining to collaborate along the way. Forged out of a youth steeped in punk and hardcore, Turner brings that curiosity and feeling to a more roots-based sound.
